Lexington For Everyone Presents to Commercial Property Association of Lexington

The Commercial Property Association of Lexington (CPAL) recently hosted its monthly meeting, during which Lexington For Everyone Board Chair Ray Daniels talked about the need for more balanced land use policies in Lexington. Mr. Daniels told the group, “Through land use policies and regulations, Lexington is making it more difficult for people to find affordable homes and more difficult for businesses to create more jobs. Those same policies are accelerating gentrification and inequity in our neighborhoods.”

“We are selling the dream of Lexington. But through the city’s land use policies, we are telling people that dream isn’t for them. They can live somewhere else. Start a business somewhere else. Work somewhere else. Be involved in some other community. Consequences are real. Real for jobs. Real for homes. Real for equity.” Stay connected and get engaged here
